These two skills work together collectively. I am discussing these skills separately so that you can understand each skill separately. These two skills communication and collaboration are very essential in every field of life. If you have better communication skill you can excel in your life. Man is a social animal and he needs to communicate and collaborate with other humans to excel in life. If you lack communication skills means you are shy and hesitant in collaborating or communicating with other peoples then it is very difficult to flourish in different fields of life, especially in your carrier. We are now living in a Global Village and in this Global village, only those who have good communication skills along with other secondary skills are successful. If you do not have better communication skills and you want to learn this skill then the first essential thing to learn this skill is self-confidence. The capacity of reasoning legitimately and deliberately has a gigantic effect on how we get thoughts, yet on how we express them. Regardless of whether we decide to be a history teacher or a researcher, having the option to clarify what we need and what are objectives in the best manner is a significant aptitude, in the working environment just as throughout everyday life.

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: small; font-weight: normal;">The catchphrase to portray our future is "questionable", and our capacity to adjust will be now and again the main aptitude we can utilize. <span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif; font-size: small; font-weight: normal;">So this is all about the importance of critical thinking and problem-solving. As you have realized that this is a very essential 21st-century skill and if you are a teacher you should focus on learning this skill and also conduct such activities in your classroom so that this skill should be developed in your students and they become able to critically think about an issue and then find a solution for that issue or problem. It is a very essential skill and it must be developed in the new generation so that they can excel in their lives and become global citizens.

ISA Activity Sharing: In this article I am sharing with you the secrets of ISA Activity Sharing that nobody will tell you. I know you are anxious to know the secrets of ISA Activity Sharing but before that I will tell you what is ISA Activity Sharing? the most simple definition of activity sharing is that when you completely conduct an activity and then find a partner school with the same activity theme and share all the important material of your activity like pictures, videos and documentation with the partner school and the partner school share all the pictures, videos and documentation with you this is called activity sharing.

Activity sharing is an essential part of the ISA (International School Award) Award because the main purpose of this project is to develop citizenship skills among students so that they can become global citizens.

ISA Activity Sharing is not a difficult task but it is tricky. It is the main part of the ISA Award so you have to share your activity with the partner school very carefully so that you don't miss anything related to activity sharing that will create a problem for you later. It is the task of ISA Coordinator to share an activity with the partner school. So ISA Coordinators do not give this job to any other teacher because it can be a problem creating for you later because you have to set portfolio and if anything regarding activity sharing is missing you will have a tough time at the end, you have to contact with your partner schools again and again for the missing things and it is really embracing and non-professional. So do ISA Activity Sharing task by yourself and do it professionally so that at the time of portfolio submission you have not to face any difficulty.

Before ISA Activity Sharing you have to conduct an ISA activity completely and you have to search for a partner school that has the same activity or at least an activity with the same theme as yours. If you need any information regarding the partner search check my article regarding partner search.
ISA Partners
Steps of ISA Activity Sharing:

First of all conduct your activity completely and store all the pictures and video clips of your subactivities in your mobile phone as well on the computer or laptop you use in your school. Always keep a copy of data of all the activities with you at home also so that if you find a partner from home you can share your activity data with the partner school easily. Some ISA Coordinators think that ISA Activity Sharing is just an exchange of activity pictures but this is completely wrong. It is a set of five steps. When you find a suitable partner for your activity and the partner is ready to share activity follow these five steps to share an activity completely. I am telling you the procedure to share an activity with one partner school you can share one activity with more than one partner. Follow the same instructions to share an activity with more than one partner.

Step 1:

Step no 1 of activity sharing is that grab all the basic information regarding your partner school like partner school name, contact number, ISA Coordinator name, Name of Head, address of the school, etc. Email or Whatsapp the basic information exchange form to your partner and demand the same from him/her. Fill the form that your partner school has sent you and Email him/her the form back. Do not go to step 2 until your partner school Email you the basic information exchange form. (Tip # 1 design a form that contains all the fields regarding basic information exchange and use it for every activity)

I am sharing with you a sample of basic information exchange form.

Step 2:

After a successful exchange of information the next step is to share the main pictures of all of your sub-activities with your partner school and ask him/her to share activity pictures of his/her activity. You can share activity pictures with your partner school by using any social media, you can email your main activity pictures to your partner school, you can WhatsApp the pictures of your activity, or you can also share activity pictures in the Facebook inbox of your activity partner school. You can create a photo collage of your activity main pictures or you can also create a presentation of your activity and you can share these with your partner school. Video sharing is optional if your partner demands you activity video clips then share your activity video clips otherwise main pictures of the activity are enough. Do not go to step 3 until your partner school shares with you the main pictures of his/her activity. As soon as your partner school shares with you the pictures of his/her activity move towards step number 03.

Step 3:

After the successful exchange of activity pictures the next step is that share the activity of your partner school with your maximum number of students. Now the question is how to share an activity with students. This is very simple to arrange a multimedia in your school hall or school computer lab and show the pictures and videos of your partner school activity to your students. Tell them in detail about partner school and their activity. Make some pictures while your students are seeing the activity of partner school. Share these pictures with your partner and demand the same from your partner.

Step 4:

After sharing partner school activity with your students the next step is that demand feedback for your activity from your partner school and also send the Evaluation forms to the partner school for filling. You also prepare feedback for the partner school activity. Take a print of the feedback and took the signature and stamp of your school head and then scan it and send a copy to your partner school. You can also keep your head signature copy on your computer and can prepare feedback in PDF format. The second option is useful if your school is closed due to some reason and you cannot take the signature of your head of the institution and your partner school demand feedback from you then you can easily prepare feedback for your partner school by the second method. I myself had used the second method of preparing feedback many times, it is very useful and also acceptable by the British Council. I am sharing with you a sample of feedback with you.

Step 5:

After the successful exchange of feedback the last step of ISA activity sharing is that fill Evaluation forms for your partner school and demand the same from your partner school. When your partner school sent you the Evaluation forms and you have also sent back the Evaluation forms after filling now your activity has completely been shared.if you have reached the step 05 congratulations to you your ISA activity has now completely been shared with your partner school. Tips of ISA Activity Sharing

First of all don't forget to get the contact number/WhatsApp/Messenger/Instagram or email address of your partner.

Store the pictures of your partner school activity in more than one device and organize them in folders so that you can easily manage them at the end of the portfolio. Because with the help of folders the things would not mix up and your work will become smooth and tension free.

Save Evaluation forms and feedback in your mobile phone and computer/laptop in the folder in which all data regarding that activity is stored. And one thing to keep in mind your students, teachers, parents and social members involved in your activity will also fill Evaluation forms. At least you should have 3 to 5 Evaluation forms of all types for each activity.

How to: Welcome visitors!

Are you participating in ISA Full Award this year? And you are the ISA Coordinator of your school for the British Council Connecting Classroom Project? Are you worried about how to conduct an activity and how to find partners for an activity? Then don't worry you are in the right place. I am also the ISA Coordinator of my school for the British Council Connecting Classroom Project. I have also won the ISA Award for my school. I have learned the whole work of the ISA Award from a selection of activities to the conduction of activities, partner search, activity sharing, action plan filling, and portfolio organization by myself. Now I want to help other schools that are participating in ISA each year.

I have written separate articles about each step of the ISA Award. If you have confusion about any step explore my blog for help, you will definitely find a solution to your problem.

Today I am going to discuss how to search for partners for an activity or more than one activity. If you want to learn how to conduct an activity then read my article

How to conduct an ISA activity.

How to search for a partner for an ISA activity is not rocket science. But honestly speaking when I started to search for partners for my first activity I found it really difficult because there was just a single platform where I could search for partners for my activity and that was the British Council Connecting Classroom Project's own forum. I used to send requests to different ISA Coordinators but there was no positive response.

I got stuck but I don't leave hope. What I did in that situation that helped me to succeed is that I used to conduct activities in my school at day time and in the evening and at night I search for partners for my activity. At last, I succeeded in finding some WhatsApp and Facebook groups from where I easily found partners for my activities. If you also want to know about those WhatsApp and Facebook groups read my articles

So the first golden tip for partner search is that search for national and international partners day and night besides conducting activities. You may be surprised to hear day and night but it is as it is. Being ISA Coordinator you have not only to make videos and pictures of your activity but you have to search partners for your activity.

The second golden tip for the ISA partner search is that partner must not only rely on the British Council official website on which they have a registered account but also search for partners on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and other social media platforms. Join as many groups as you can on Facebook, WhatsApp, and other social media platforms for a quick partner search.
The 3rd golden tip for the ISA partner search is that if a partner either national or international agrees to share an activity don't let him/her go. Grasp that partner and contact him/her frequently until you completely share the activity with him/her.

ISA Activity: Welcome visitors! Are you participating in ISA Award or ISA Reaccreditation this year? If you are appearing first time in ISA Award this year then you might be confused about how to plan and conduct an ISA Activity. And if you have already won the ISA award and appearing in ISA Reaccreditation then you are familiar with the procedure of activity planning and conduction. So if you are appearing for the first time or second time today I am going to reveal the secrets of my ISA activity planning that will definitely help you and most of your questions regarding ISA activity planning and conduction will be solved.

Step 1:Core Skill Selection

If you have already selected a theme on which you want to plan and conduct an activity then it is good otherwise first of all you have to select a topic from the curriculum of your school and then you have to select the theme of your activity or in other words, you can say that you have to select the sustainable development goal or core skill on which your activity will be based. This means along with the curriculum life skills or 21st-century skills will be developed in students after the conduction of this activity. There are six SDG's or you can select one or more themes. The six SDGs or themes or core skills are

Ways of working

Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving

Creativity and Imagination

Ways of living

Student Leadership

Citizenship

(In citizenship you can work on activities that enable students to understand one or more of the following

Conflict and peace

Rights and Responsibilities

Fairness and equality

Identity and belonging

Enablers

Digital Literacy

Communication and Collaboration

Step 2: Dividing An ISA Activity Into Sub Activities

After selecting the theme select curriculum subjects that your ISA activity will cover. Then divide your activity into sub-activities. Don't conduct an activity as a whole do follow the divide and conquer policy and divide your ISA activity into small manageable sub-activities. And conduct each sub-activity separately. Let's suppose one of my activities was on Independence Day, I divided the whole activity into the following sub-activities

Independence Day Poster Making

Badge Making for Independence Day

Face Painting

Cultural Show

Independence Day Function

Step 3: Conduction Of Sub Activities

Once you have divided your activity into sub-activities now conduct each sub-activity separately. Don't work alone involve your co-teachers in the conduction of sub-activities.

Step 4: Students Involvement

Involve as many students as you can in your ISA activity. For each sub-activity select students of different age groups. In this way, a maximum number of students will be involved on the whole in the activity.

Step 5: Sub-Activity Record Maintenance

Now the most important step of ISA activity Planning and conduction is record management of the activity. Stepwise conduct sub-activities and when you conduct a sub-activity take HD pictures of the activity. Take pictures of each and every step and things including inactivity. Don't forget to take pictures of the students involved in the activity. In the same way, make video clips of each and every step of the activity. Also, make video clips of student comments and the guest comments about that activity (which means what they learned from that activity). After that store that record in organized folders on your computer, laptop, or cellphone. Make a major folder with your activity name on your computer and then make the following subfolders.

Pictures (subfolders for each sub-activity)

Videos (subfolders for each sub-activity)

Social Media Proof

Evaluation Forms

Partner School Activity

Partner School Student Sharing

Partner School Evaluation Forms

Partner School Feedback

Don't forget to save a copy of all that record on your mobile phone because this data will be used in activity sharing. If you need evaluation forms click here.

There are evaluation forms for teachers, students, and community members that are involved in the activity. Give evaluation forms to students and teachers that are involved in the activity from school and if you have invited a guest or some community members like parents in your activity also give evaluation forms to them for filling. Save your evaluation forms for each activity in organized folders.

Note: You can also send evaluation forms to your partner school for filling especially in case your activity partner is international.

Step 7: Sharing Of ISA Activity On Social Media

You have to share your activity pictures or videos on social media like Facebook or other platforms and then take screenshots of that sharings and save them in the social media proof subfolder of that activity. This step is to see how many likes your activity got on social media. You can also give your activity pictures for print in some magazine or newspaper and can add its screenshots in the social media proof subfolder of the activity.

Step 8: Finding Partner For ISA Activity

Once you have completely conducted your activity or you have successfully conducted some of the sub-activities of your activity start searching for a partner for your activity so that you can share your activity which is the main purpose of the British Council Connecting Classroom Project. You can search for national as well as international partners for your activity. Feedback is a type of appreciation letter in which the partner school will tell you how they find your activity and when they shared your activity with their students and what their students have learned from your activity.

Step 10: Demanding Student Sharing Pictures From Partner School

Once your partner school has provided you feedback on your activity then ask your partner to send you some pictures which they have made when they shared your activity with their students. When your partner provides you with pictures save them on your computer in the Partner School Student Sharing Subfolder of your activity.

So this is all for How to Plan And Conduct an ISA Activity in 2021.
