If You Want To Be A Winner, Change Your ISA Activity Sharing Philosophy Now!

ISA Activity Sharing: In this article I am sharing with you the secrets of ISA Activity Sharing that nobody will tell you. I know you are anxious to know the secrets of ISA Activity Sharing but before that I will tell you what is ISA Activity Sharing? the most simple definition of activity sharing is that when you completely conduct an activity and then find a partner school with the same activity theme and share all the important material of your activity like pictures, videos and documentation with the partner school and the partner school share all the pictures, videos and documentation with you this is called activity sharing.

Activity sharing is an essential part of the ISA (International School Award) Award because the main purpose of this project is to develop citizenship skills among students so that they can become global citizens.

ISA Activity Sharing is not a difficult task but it is tricky. It is the main part of the ISA Award so you have to share your activity with the partner school very carefully so that you don't miss anything related to activity sharing that will create a problem for you later. It is the task of ISA Coordinator to share an activity with the partner school. So ISA Coordinators do not give this job to any other teacher because it can be a problem creating for you later because you have to set portfolio and if anything regarding activity sharing is missing you will have a tough time at the end, you have to contact with your partner schools again and again for the missing things and it is really embracing and non-professional. So do ISA Activity Sharing task by yourself and do it professionally so that at the time of portfolio submission you have not to face any difficulty.

Before ISA Activity Sharing you have to conduct an ISA activity completely and you have to search for a partner school that has the same activity or at least an activity with the same theme as yours. If you need any information regarding the partner search check my article regarding partner search.

Steps of ISA Activity Sharing:

steps of isa activitysharing

First of all conduct your activity completely and store all the pictures and video clips of your subactivities in your mobile phone as well on the computer or laptop you use in your school. Always keep a copy of data of all the activities with you at home also so that if you find a partner from home you can share your activity data with the partner school easily. Some ISA Coordinators think that ISA Activity Sharing is just an exchange of activity pictures but this is completely wrong. It is a set of five steps. When you find a suitable partner for your activity and the partner is ready to share activity follow these five steps to share an activity completely. I am telling you the procedure to share an activity with one partner school you can share one activity with more than one partner. Follow the same instructions to share an activity with more than one partner.

Step 1:

Step no 1 of activity sharing is that grab all the basic information regarding your partner school like partner school name, contact number, ISA Coordinator name, Name of Head, address of the school, etc.  Email or Whatsapp the basic information exchange form to your partner and demand the same from him/her. Fill the form that your partner school has sent you and Email him/her the form back. Do not go to step 2 until your partner school Email you the basic information exchange form. (Tip # 1 design a form that contains all the fields regarding basic information exchange and use it for every activity)
I am sharing with you a sample of basic information exchange form.

Step 2:

After a successful exchange of information the next step is to share the main pictures of all of your sub-activities with your partner school and ask him/her to share activity pictures of his/her activity. You can share activity pictures with your partner school by using any social media, you can email your main activity pictures to your partner school, you can WhatsApp the pictures of your activity, or you can also share activity pictures in the Facebook inbox of your activity partner school. You can create a photo collage of your activity main pictures or you can also create a presentation of your activity and you can share these with your partner school. Video sharing is optional if your partner demands you activity video clips then share your activity video clips otherwise main pictures of the activity are enough. Do not go to step 3 until your partner school shares with you the main pictures of his/her activity. As soon as your partner school shares with you the pictures of his/her activity move towards step number 03.

Step 3:

After the successful exchange of activity pictures the next step is that share the activity of your partner school with your maximum number of students. Now the question is how to share an activity with students. This is very simple to arrange a multimedia in your school hall or school computer lab and show the pictures and videos of your partner school activity to your students. Tell them in detail about partner school and their activity. Make some pictures while your students are seeing the activity of partner school. Share these pictures with your partner and demand the same from your partner.

Step 4:

After sharing partner school activity with your students the next step is that demand feedback for your activity from your partner school and also send the Evaluation forms to the partner school for filling. You also prepare feedback for the partner school activity. Take a print of the feedback and took the signature and stamp of your school head and then scan it and send a copy to your partner school. You can also keep your head signature copy on your computer and can prepare feedback in PDF format. The second option is useful if your school is closed due to some reason and you cannot take the signature of your head of the institution and your partner school demand feedback from you then you can easily prepare feedback for your partner school by the second method. I myself had used the second method of preparing feedback many times, it is very useful and also acceptable by the British Council. I am sharing with you a sample of feedback with you.

Step 5:

After the successful exchange of feedback the last step of ISA activity sharing is that fill Evaluation forms for your partner school and demand the same from your partner school. When your partner school sent you the Evaluation forms and you have also sent back the Evaluation forms after filling now your activity has completely been shared.if you have reached the step 05 congratulations to you your ISA activity has now completely been shared with your partner school. Tips of ISA Activity Sharing

  • First of all don't forget to get the contact number/WhatsApp/Messenger/Instagram or email address of your partner.
  • Store the pictures of your partner school activity in more than one device and organize them in folders so that you can easily manage them at the end of the portfolio. Because with the help of folders the things would not mix up and your work will become smooth and tension free.
  • Save Evaluation forms and feedback in your mobile phone and computer/laptop in the folder in which all data regarding that activity is stored. And one thing to keep in mind your students, teachers, parents and social members involved in your activity will also fill Evaluation forms. At least you should have 3 to 5 Evaluation forms of all types for each activity.
